EVysor hard mask/workglasses by eQuick00% UV protection

These horse goggles are designed for working horses, and are particularly recommended to protect the eyes of horses suffering from uveitis, cataracts, corneal ulcers or any other form of photosensitivity. 100% UV protection. Also effective against headshaking or outdoor riding with a looking horse.

Technical equipment to protect your horse's eyes at work. Because it attenuates contrasts linked to brightness, especially outdoors, this protection also gives very good results on horses that look or react easily to light and shade, both in the arena and outdoors. It also provides effective protection against wind, dust and insects.

We do not recommend this protection for resting horses in pasture. However, it can be used when the horse is momentarily in the paddock, for a limited time and under supervision.

3 parts :

  • Lenses: unbreakable, perfectly ergonomic, respecting the horse's field of vision,
  • Perfectly adapted to the horse's head and providing perfect ventilation. Eliminates fogging caused by perspiration during work,
  • Attachments: 2 adjustable elastic straps with buckles. Easily installed and removed under the net.

These glasses are prescribed by many equine veterinarians and are particularly recommended for ponies and horses suffering from the following ophthalmic pathologies or fragilities:

  • Photosensitivity
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Fragile eyes following veterinary surgery
  • Eye injury, healing,
  • Uveitis

  • Eye protection against natural elements (dust, wind, etc.)
  • Any other ocular pathology requiring constant protection of the working horse's eye

100% UV protection.

Equivizor post-operative convalescence mask

In most cases, eye surgery requires special temporary protection once your horse has returned to the stable. Not only will the treated area need to be kept as dust-free as possible, but the horse will also need to avoid scratching the treated area while it heals.

This breathable PVC ophthalmic protection meets all these objectives. It is used by veterinary surgeons in particular after surgery, to wake up sedated horses.

Made of rigid PVC with anti-UV treatment, it insulates and protects your horse's eyes without obstructing his vision. It features vents to promote air circulation and allow the wound to dry. The perimeter of the visor is trimmed with synthetic fur to prevent injury and ensure optimum comfort. A foam cushion is also provided, attached to the lower part of the visor, to prevent injury to the zygomatic processes. 3 straps, including 2 with sheaths, secure the product to the horse's head.

This protection comes with an adaptable anti-insect net, providing perfect second protection against flies when out and about (paddock, meadow) during convalescence.

For the correct size, please refer to the size chart above. In the event of an error, we process returns and reshipments as quickly as possible, on simple return of the product in perfect condition, imperatively within 14 days.

This mask is recommended or prescribed by equine veterinarians to aid post-operative healing or eye treatment for uveitis, cataracts, ulcers, or any other pathology and/or ocular fragility.

Made in Australia (materials and manufacturing).

Sizes: M (cob) - L (full) - Clear or tinted visor.

Please note:

- The Equivizor convalescence mask should not be worn if the outside temperature is below -10°. This product, like all rigid products, cannot be worn permanently, and the horse requires close supervision by its keeper.

 - If you have taken out an insurance policy covering your horse's veterinary expenses, your insurance company may cover all or part of the cost of eye protection required in the event of an accident or to treat an ophthalmic condition. If this is the case, and subject to the terms and conditions of your policy, your insurance company will require the products to be prescribed by your vet on the prescription you receive.

Horses are not made to wear masks! Check at least once a day that the mask has not moved and that your horse is comfortable with it. We take the greatest care in the manufacture of our products and in the choice of materials, but every horse is different, and it's up to you to check that the equipment you choose (model + size) corresponds to the protection your horse's eyes need.

    Excellent products

I bought the convalescence mask because I bought my horse (a 6-year-old reformed trotter) at the end of May 2020 and the seller was careful not to tell me that he had ulcers. He didn't bother to treat them "it just happened on its own", he told me !!!!" 2 days after his arrival (Normandy to Pas-de-Calais), he gave me an ulcer because there was too much air in the van (it was hot and I didn't know he had ulcers, so I opened the front windows). So since May 2020, the vet has intervened 4 times (3 ulcers in the same eye and one in the other). Noticing that my horse scratches regularly, the vet concluded that it's this "scratching" trauma that's causing his ulcer. The vet therefore advised me to invest in this convalescence mask to avoid any rubbing with the eyes; that it would cost me less than many vet visits since May ( 1400€ ). And to guarantee him greater comfort when riding, as I put on an equilibrium anti-UV mask to avoid dust, wind and UV rays, she recommended the eVysor mask. ( not compulsory but highly recommended ) I should point out that my horse is never without protection: he keeps the convalescence mask on 24 hours a day (he'll be testing it in pasture this summer, so there's no other choice for him) and when I ride him, the eVysor mask takes over. If I have to leave in a van, the mask is compulsory. I'm doing everything I can to make sure he doesn't re-offend. I'm very satisfied with both products. Now, I don't have enough hindsight to tell you about their effectiveness, as I've been using the convalescence mask for 1.5 months and the glasses for only 15 days. The glasses look very comfortable, he tolerates them perfectly (they're the ones with the clear lenses because he's not bothered by the sun: fluorescein test carried out by the vet). I hope I've helped you in your choice of equipment. If you'd like more information on the problems I encountered before buying these 2 pieces of equipment (4 to 6 treatments a day), please ask Pascale or Justine at Equidiva for my telephone number and I'll get back to you. But very sincerely, I think that the purchase of this convalescence mask will enable us to live better, him as well as me. He won't have any more problems, and I'll be more relaxed because I was always wondering when I arrived at the stables whether his ulcer had recurred.

    convalescence mask

received quickly and as described. I only tested the convalescence mask because my horse just came out of surgery. The mask is strong and fits very well, plus there are protective foams for the horse's comfort.

What size should I choose for my equidiva mask/cap?
All measurements are approximate and for guidance only.

    Premium mask size guide

Using a tape measure (or string, which you can measure later), go around your horse's head as shown in the photo:

    Mask size Head circumference
    XS - Shetland 84 cm
    S - Pony 90 cm
    M - Cob 94 cm
    L - Full 100 cm
    XL - XFull 110 cm
If your horse's head measurement is between 2 sizes, we recommend taking the nearest larger size.

Size guide - Equivizor masks (Light, Arso, Convalescence models)

For these masks, the main measurement is that of your horse's forehead. To do this, add up 3 measurements:

    1. start at the outer corner of one eye and measure upwards at a slight angle to the middle of the forehead (measurement A),
    2. continue along your horse's forehead (measure B),
    3. finish the measurement by pointing the line slightly downwards to the outer corner of the other eye (measurement C). In this way, you measure the widest part of your horse's forehead.

Add these 3 measurements (A+B+C) to obtain the size of your horse's forehead.

IMPORTANT: do not measure directly from one eye to the other, as this will probably give a measurement that is too small.

    M - Cob 29-33 cm
    L - Full 34-37 cm
    XL - XFull 38-43 cm

    Take these 3 steps:
    Size A B C
XS (large shetland) 60 cm 84 cm 20 cm
    S (pony) 70 cm 96 cm 23 cm
    M (cob) 70 cm 96 cm 25.5 cm
    L (full) 75 cm 105 cm 27 cm

If your horse is between two sizes, we advise you to take the smaller size.

Measure the distance between the center of the horse's eyes:
