    Kruuse ophthalmic mask with patch and hard shell

    This mask is imported from Denmark and manufactured by the Kruuse company. It is composed of 3 elements:

    - a soft, comfortable cap for the horse, with wide velcro fastenings, easy to put on and take off. The eye openings are lined with velcro so that the other 2 elements (patch alone or hard shell) can be easily attached.

    - a fully occulting patch to protect the eye after care or surgery and keep it protected from light and dust. The patch is attached to the mask with Velcro fasteners. It enables you to check the dressing or the evolution of the wound without having to remove the mask.

    - a patch with a rigid shell, perforated to promote aeration and thus healing. Like the blackout patch, it can be Velcro fastening on the mask. It allows you to check the dressing or the evolution of the wound without having to remove the mask.

    The patches are suitable for all eyes that require treatment or have undergone surgery. There is no distinction to be made between right and left eyes when ordering.

    This mask is only available to order, delivery time 2/3 weeks.

    ATTENTION: this mask is rather large.

    Using a tape measure (or string, which you can measure later), go around your horse's head as shown in the photo:

    S - Pony 90 cm
    M - Cob 94 cm
    L - Full 100 cm
    XL - XFull 110 cm
    If your horse's head measurement is between 2 sizes, we recommend taking the nearest larger size.


    Size guide - Equivizor masks (Light, Arso, Convalescence models)

    For these masks, the main measurement is that of your horse's forehead. To do this, add up 3 measurements:

    1. start at the outer corner of one eye and measure upwards at a slight angle to the middle of the forehead (measurement A),
    2. continue along your horse's forehead (measure B),
    3. finish the measurement by pointing the line slightly downwards to the outer corner of the other eye (measurement C). In this way, you measure the widest part of your horse's forehead.

    Add these 3 measurements (A+B+C) to obtain the size of your horse's forehead.

    IMPORTANT: do not measure directly from one eye to the other, as this will probably give a measurement that is too small.
