New equidiva products for 2023!

January 12, 2023

Lots of good surprises for 2023 with the launch by the end of the year of two new eye protectors for shetlands, ponies, horses and draught horses: the modified Premium meadow mask and a real innovation with new work goggles 100% made in equidiva!

New work glasses for all!

After 18 months of work, 13 prototypes, material tests to find the right UV- and shock-resistant material, and tests on various breeds and sizes of horses, we are pleased to present you with a sneak preview: the EQUIGOOGS ® equidiva !

These genuine goggles can be worn by all sizes of horse, from A ponies to heavy horses, with the exception of mini shetlands and very massive horses. For the design of this product, for which a patent has been filed, we were accompanied by specialists recognized for their expertise: equine veterinarians of course, but also a specialist in equine behavior and vision, a renowned saddler for the design of a double bridle unique on the market, a plastic surgeon...

We were also able to count on the patience and experience of Artémis, equidiva's model dummy, and then called on dozens of horses and ponies of all morphologies (from Shetland to Breton draught) for numerous tests each time the hulls were modified.

We're now entering the final phase of the project, and should be able to bring you the finished product in September.

Our promise? Lightweight, easy-to-attach, comfortable goggles for shetlands, ponies, horses and heavy horses with sensitive or weak eyes, so they can be ridden and worked on normally.

A new summer version of the Premium mask with 90% UV protection earmuffs!

premium-equidiva

While the Premium mask does its job perfectly well in cold or average temperatures, it's often too hot in summer or when it's very hot. With summers getting hotter all the time, we thought it essential to improve this aspect, as some of you have asked us to do. In its summer version, it still provides effective protection against UV rays, insects, wind, dust, hay stalks, rain... thanks to airy, breathable materials.

Premium mask design - summer version :

  • two technical materials for maximum comfort and protection for your horse:
    - bonnet and ears: ultra-resistant openwork polyester fabric, drying time 30 min. Closes with wide velcro fasteners and 1 adjustable strap at under-throat level.
    - eye section: resistant, micro-perforated coated fabric for optimum filtering of UV rays, insects, wind, dust, hay stalks, etc.
  • a semi-rigid hoop that keeps the canvas away from the horse's eye.

Care in cold water with mild soap and brush, or machine wash cold, short program, low spin, ideally protected in a laundry net.

Sizes: XS (shetland) - S (pony) - M (cob) - L (horse) - XL (large horse)

Like the Premium winter goggle, it can be used for outdoor work or on the flat. Given its opacity, we do not recommend using it for jumps; for these disciplines, Evysor goggles or EQUIGOOGS goggles are preferable.

What size should I choose for my equidiva mask/cap?
All measurements are approximate and for guidance only.

Premium mask size guide

Using a tape measure (or string, which you can measure later), go around your horse's head as shown in the photo:

Mask size Head circumference
XS - Shetland 84 cm
S - Pony 90 cm
M - Cob 94 cm
L - Full 100 cm
XL - XFull 110 cm
If your horse's head measurement is between 2 sizes, we recommend taking the nearest larger size.

Size guide - Equivizor masks (Light, Arso, Convalescence models)

For these masks, the main measurement is that of your horse's forehead. To do this, add up 3 measurements:

  1. start at the outer corner of one eye and measure upwards at a slight angle to the middle of the forehead (measurement A),
  2. continue along your horse's forehead (measure B),
  3. finish the measurement by pointing the line slightly downwards to the outer corner of the other eye (measurement C). In this way, you measure the widest part of your horse's forehead.

Add these 3 measurements (A+B+C) to obtain the size of your horse's forehead.

IMPORTANT: do not measure directly from one eye to the other, as this will probably give a measurement that is too small.

S - Pony 22-28 cm

S (pony) 70 cm 96 cm 23 cm
