equidiva Premium mask with earmuffs

Delivery time: 3 weeks

This unique ophthalmic cap is the perfect complement to eye protection/glasses for horses. Completely flexible, it can be worn at all times without risk by any horse requiring special eye protection (uveitis, ulcers, cataracts...), whether in the pasture or the stable. It also provides effective protection against wind, dust, hay stalks, rain, etc. It can be used for outdoor work or on the flat. Given its opacity, we advise against using it for jumping; for these disciplines, Evysor goggles are the best choice.

Designed in 2 parts combining 2 technical materials, it provides your horse with maximum comfort and protection:
- Cup part: water-repellent stretch fabric. Closes with a wide velcro strap and 1 adjustable underthroat strap.
- Ocular part: resistant, micro-perforated coated fabric for optimum filtering of UV rays, wind, dust, hay stalks, etc.

2 removable inner foam pads keep the canvas away from the horse's eye.

Semi-rigid hoop to hold the mask securely in place and keep the mask away from the liner.

Care with cold soapy water and brush or cold machine, short program, low spin, ideally protected in a laundry net.

This mask is recommended or prescribed by equine veterinarians to accompany the treatment of uveitis, cataracts, ulcers, or any other pathology and/or ocular fragility.

Sizes: M (cob) - L (full)

eVysor goggles/masks - eQuick

These horse goggles are designed for working horses, and are particularly recommended to protect the eyes of horses suffering from uveitis, cataracts, corneal ulcers or any other form of photosensitivity. 100% UV protection. Also effective against headshaking or outdoor riding with a looking horse.

Technical equipment to protect your horse's eyes at work. Because it attenuates contrasts linked to brightness, especially outdoors, this protection also gives very good results on horses that look or react easily to light and shade, both in the arena and outdoors. It also provides effective protection against wind, dust and insects.

We do not recommend this protection for resting horses in pasture. However, it can be used when the horse is momentarily in the paddock, for a limited time and under supervision.

3 parts :

  • Lenses: unbreakable, perfectly ergonomic, respecting the horse's field of vision,
  • Perfectly adapted to the horse's head for perfect ventilation. Eliminates fogging caused by perspiration during work.
  • Attachments: 2 adjustable elastic straps with buckles. Easy to install under the net.

These glasses are particularly recommended for ponies and horses affected by the following ophthalmic problems:

  • Photosensitivity
  • Fragile eyes following veterinary surgery
  • Eye injury, healing,
  • Uveitis
  • Cataracts
  • Corneal ulcer
  • Glaucoma
  • Headshaking
  • Eye protection against natural elements (dust, wind, etc.)
  • Any other ocular pathology requiring constant protection of the horse's eye

100% UV protection.

  • In the event of an error, we process returns and reshipments as quickly as possible, on simple return of the product in perfect condition, imperatively within 14 days.
  • If you have taken out an insurance policy covering your horse's veterinary expenses, your insurance company may cover all or part of the cost of eye protection required in the event of an accident or to treat an ophthalmic condition. If this is the case, and subject to the terms and conditions of your policy, your insurance company will require the products to be prescribed by your veterinarian on the prescription he or she gives you.
  • Horses are not made to wear masks! Check at least once a day that the mask has not moved and that your horse is comfortable with it. We take the greatest care in the manufacture of our products and in the choice of materials, but every horse is different, and it's up to you to check that the equipment you choose (model + size) corresponds to the protection your horse's eyes need.

    Premium mask

The premium mask is truly top-of-the-range, with a solid, soft fabric, and an anti-UV canvas that is little - if at all - abrasive to the eyes. However, I'd like to see 3 improvements: 1/ explain that you mustn't wash it with the foams (they can be removed), otherwise it won't dry and becomes far too heavy for the horse to bear on its head. 2/ Explain that it needs to be tightened a lot the first few times (I also had to cut the earflaps halfway down to balance the weight so that my horse wouldn't take it off when rolling). 3/ Small design problem: the safety buckle should be moved a few cm so that the horse doesn't have it on the ganache bone, but a little more **** between the ganaches for example (just make the left strap 4/5 cm longer). Ccl: I'm a bit picky and demanding, but after trying a multitude of masks (I have a cavalry of 20 horses entirely masked for 6 months of the year), I think that with the premium mask, we're getting close to the best for horses with ophthalmic problems ;-) Last point: a slightly long delivery time...

    Very good products

I'm totally delighted with the soft mask, which is very well designed, doesn't hurt, is very light and holds well. The goggles are also very practical and provide excellent concealment when the horse is in bright sunlight.

equidiva Premium Pack with earmuffs + eVysor eQuick goggles

Although recently purchased, I am satisfied with the product. The horse tolerates the glasses very well and has changed his behavior in bright sunlight, which is a sign of improved vision (he has very light blue eyes).

What size should I choose for my equidiva mask/cap?
All measurements are approximate and for guidance only.

    Premium mask size guide

Using a tape measure (or string, which you can measure later), go around your horse's head as shown in the photo:

    Mask size Head circumference
    XS - Shetland 84 cm
    S - Pony 90 cm
    M - Cob 94 cm
    L - Full 100 cm
    XL - XFull 110 cm
If your horse's head measurement is between 2 sizes, we recommend taking the nearest larger size.

Size guide - Equivizor masks (Light, Arso, Convalescence models)

For these masks, the main measurement is that of your horse's forehead. To do this, add up 3 measurements:

    1. start at the outer corner of one eye and measure upwards at a slight angle to the middle of the forehead (measurement A),
    2. continue along your horse's forehead (measure B),
    3. finish the measurement by pointing the line slightly downwards to the outer corner of the other eye (measurement C). In this way, you measure the widest part of your horse's forehead.

Add these 3 measurements (A+B+C) to obtain the size of your horse's forehead.

IMPORTANT: do not measure directly from one eye to the other, as this will probably give a measurement that is too small.

    Mask size Forehead size
    XS - Shetland 18-21 cm
    S - Pony 22-28 cm
    M - Cob 29-33 cm
    L - Full 34-37 cm
    XL - XFull 38-43 cm

    Rambo mask size guide

    Take these 3 steps:
    Size A B C
XS (large shetland) 60 cm 84 cm 20 cm
    S (pony) 70 cm 96 cm 23 cm
    M (cob) 70 cm 96 cm 25.5 cm
    L (full) 75 cm 105 cm 27 cm

If your horse is between two sizes, we advise you to take the smaller size.

    Size guide - Equivet mask

Measure the distance between the center of the horse's eyes:

    Mask size Distance between eyes
    S - Pony 18 cm
    M - Cob 21 cm
    L - Full 24 cm
    XL - XFull 26 cm

    Size guide - eVysor glasses

The eVysor mask is available in one size. It is suitable for "cob" or "full" size horses. It may also fit larger ponies (D ponies).
